With warmer weather  here , its important to remember the heat can create security risks . Police often see a rise in opportunistic vehicle crime during the summer months as people leave windows open or valuables in plain sight.

Even if you are only away from your vehicle for a minute , always lock your doors and fully secure your windows.

Items such as phones, wallets , bags sunglasses and cameras should never be left visible . If possible , take them with you.

Think before you park . Choose busy , well lit locations or car parks with CCTV coverage where possible .
